#DeadlyVirusNotChineseVirusNotForeignVirus

I wasn’t born in America, but I became a naturalized U.S. citizen. I studied U.S. history & during WWII, the Americans in the homeland sacrificed & rationed for the War effort. Women went into the factories & built War supplies. And developed a famous saying by Rosie the Riveter; “We can do it!” The American people worked together to support the cause.

As I look at the empty streets today, I feel proud because many of us are self-quarantining to protect the most vulnerable. Our elderly, & those with pre-existing conditions. We have been attacked by this Deadly virus & we are working together to fight it.

It is not a Chinese virus or Foreign virus like the President said. Because I am a foreign immigrant that became a proud American Citizen. Like the Republican Liz Cheney said, this virus knows no borders, knows no race, knows no political party. In a sense the virus is bipartisan.

But I am proud, not just America, but globally we are working & sacrificing staying at home for the global effort.

And when we get through this pandemic, it will be like Victory Day after WWII; except a sailor can’t grab a random woman & kiss her like that picture. Times has changed, #MeToo.

As De La Soul said “Stakes is High”. This is a Deadly virus, not a Chinese virus, not a Foreign virus. And as the Riveter Rosie said; “We can do it!” So keep doing what you’re doing, staying at home to save lives, to save our most vulnerable. It is a global effort. It makes me proud & I hope it would make you proud of your sacrifice also.

Peace
